UPDATE: I mailed this at the post office. It cost about $3 (USD) to send from KS to WA. It needs to be done at the post office because it cannot be run through the machine! :)
A woman in Ali Edwards's DD facebook group said that her daughter was being bullied and she wanted to receive cards, so I decided to make this unicorn snow globe shaker pocket card. Thank you to KC for the inspiration. heeh :)
Steps:
1) Trace 2 cup Pyrex on water color paper. Use aquabrush and mermaid markers (or watercolor) to make the top of the circle a sky. Let dry! (IF you want the card to be completely within the fuse pocket, write on the back of this once it is dry, if you want it to flip open, see step 6!)
2) Punch/gather tree shapes. Glue down with adhesive (not wet is best!) in desired places. Punch out stars from glitter paper. Glue down a few stars (again, be careful with wet glue on the water color!). Add unicorn or desired animal to the snow globe.
3) Put dry and complete circle with snow globe scene into 6x8 or larger open page protector. Use 2 cup pyrex as a "ruler" with the fuse tool. This is tricky, mostly because of the fuse tool and not because of the pyrex. It just takes practice to get fusing right! 😃
4) Gather sequins, stars, etc. to make shaker pocket mix. I mixed mine in a different pocket first to make sure I liked it. I used a spoon to transfer the glitter to the final pocket bit by bit.
5) Once pocket is filled with desired amount of glitter, use 2 cup Pyrex to fuse the top of the pocket. Cut a strip of matching glitter paper for the base of the snow globe. Add banner with your sentiment if desired.
6) To turn it into a card, use 2 cup Pyrex as stencil on piece of folded in half (hamburger style) white paper. Do not cut the folded part, that is how your card opens and closes! Adhere card to back of fused pocket, decorate and write note as desired.
7) If you are mailing this, you must take it into the post office. It will cost more than normal postage, and should not be run through the machine!
